Bibianne (“Bibi”) Fell graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Diego, School of Law in 2004 where she was a member of the Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. During law school, she received the CALI Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and the Outstanding Oral Advocate Award. In 2010, Ms. Fell attended the American Board of Trial Advocates Trial College and returned in 2012 and 2014 as a trial college graduate to assist with the program. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Fell worked at Baker & McKenzie, LLP and was a shareholder at a boutique business, class action, and personal injury litigation firm.
Ms. Fell is a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers, Distinguished Counsel’s Nation’s Top One Percent, and the American Academy of Trial Attorney’s Premier 100. Since 2014, Ms. Fell has been selected by her peers for inclusion as a Southern California Superlawyer and recognized, by Los Angeles Magazine, as one of the “Top Attorney’s in Southern California.” In 2013, her alma matter selected Ms. Fell as a recipient of the USD Rising Star Recent Alumni Award, recognizing her professional achievement, community involvement, and contributions to the school through teaching. Ms. Fell was twice selected by the San Diego Daily Transcript as a Top Young Attorney. In 2014, she received the PhilAmBID Top Hat Award and in 2012, the PhilAmBID Top Hat Rising Star Award which recognize significant achievement and potential in members of the Philippine-American business community. Ms. Fell was also chosen by the Philippine History and Historical Heritage Museum to be the 2012 Official Representative of the San Diego Filipino Community. In 2008, Ms. Fell received the pro bono award from Baker & McKenzie LLP for her volunteer legal work.
Ms. Fell is a first-chair trial lawyer who has tried cases to verdict before judges and juries and argued before both the California Court of Appeals and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Fell’s recent victories include a $11.5 million settlement in a wage and hour class action case, a 7-figure settlement in a reimbursement class action case, and a 7-figure recovery in a wrongful death case.
Ms. Fell gives back by teaching young lawyers and law students advocacy skills. She teaches trial advocacy at USD Law as an Adjunct Professor of Law. She is the Program Director for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy’s Deposition Skills Program in San Diego and has taught trial advocacy through NITA at private law firms and through public programs in four different states.
In addition to law, Ms. Fell is a former professional salsa dancer and raises her two daughters.
