Julie was born in Germany and came to the United States at the age of 6. She grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She attended The University of New Mexico and subsequently joined the United States Air Force as an Administrative Specialist. She completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. During her time in the Air Force she was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi and F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Her primary duties were providing administrative support for the base commander and his staff. She also was responsible for assigning junior officers to community outreach programs to foster goodwill between the military and the community. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Air Force, she became a stay at home mom for a few years before returning to work as a pre-school teacher. She earned her teaching credential in Montessori Studies for ages 3 to 5 year olds. Julie graduated from Chapman University’s Paralegal Program in 2000, and has worked as a paralegal since that time.
During her years as a paralegal, she worked primarily in insurance defense. She was introduced to plaintiff work 4 years ago and realized that it was a perfect fit for her. She enjoys working with her clients and is very happy to be a member of Gomez Trial Attorneys. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, yoga, gardening, theater, concerts and reading. She has two sons, both of whom are in college. Julie is especially excited and proud that her eldest son will be receiving his Master’s Degree from U.C.L.A. in May of 2015.
