Wildfires are one of the scariest forces of nature. People can see them coming and smell them coming. People understand the dangers these wildfires force upon anything and everything in their paths. Despite all of this understanding, there is little if anything people can do when a wildfire approaches. The best choice to make, obviously, is to get out of its way, but that may force people to choose to give up everything that they have. Sadly, people in Kern County are being forced into this difficult choice today as a large wildfire is burning out of control. If you are forced to leave your home or business because of this fire, you may also need to seek legal advice from Erskine fire attorneys who can help you decide how you’re going to pick up the pieces of your life.
The Erskine Fire started at approximately 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 23. At this point, the cause of the fire either has not been determined or it has not been released to the public. We send our thoughts and support to the courageous firefighters and other rescue personnel who are moving quickly to take on this fire. We also hope that everyone affected is able to get out of the fire’s path safely.

Do not risk your life or those of others in an attempt to save property. If you are told to evacuate by safety officials, you should do so. Grab whatever valuables you can and get out of the fire’s way. If your home or business is ultimately lost to the fire, you should file the appropriate insurance claims as soon as possible.
