Jacqueline Ortiz was born in Tijuana, Mexico and moved to the United States in 2011. Growing up, Jacqueline always remained dedicated and focused to achieve her goals and pursue a career in the United States, despite the language and cultural barriers. In fall of 2020, Jacqueline became a first-generation college graduate from San Diego State University. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and minor in Sociology.
After graduation, she began working in the legal field as a legal assistant for a high-volume immigration law firm in San Diego. During her time there, she developed and strengthened her customer service skills as well as her multitasking abilities.
Jacqueline is now fluent in English and Spanish. She is passionate about learning and being a positive influence for those around her. As a first-generation college graduate, Jacqueline seeks to inspire and be a role model for her little niece and nephew so that one day they can reach higher education and pursue their dreams.
During her free time, Jacqueline enjoys going to the gym, exploring nature, going to music festivals, and spending time with her friends and family.
