Kathleen Coughlan joined The Gomez Law Firm as Director of Communications and Community Relations in June 2018. Her prior experience includes roles in communications, development, operations, and corporate partnerships at the University of San Diego, Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego, San Diego Padres, and the Daily Transcript.
Kathleen graduated cum laude from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, and she earned her MBA from the University of San Diego with a focus on leadership and corporate social responsibility.
As a fourth generation San Diegan, Kathleen and her family are deeply rooted in the San Diego community, and she is passionate about giving back. She is a founding member of Hand to Hand, a fund of the Coastal Community Foundation that gives grants to organizations that promote economic self sufficiency and mentoring for women and girls. She is a past chair of the Relay for Life of Encinitas, and enjoys supporting community walks, clean ups and volunteering. In her spare time, Kathleen loves traveling, watching the Padres, and spending time with her husband Ben and son Jack.
