Karla Williams
Special Investigator
Karla Williams is a Special Investigator for Gomez Trial Attorneys. The in-house Investigations Division provides invaluable support to our litigation teams by meticulously reviewing all aspects of a case to capture key data to ensure greater justice for our clients. This includes but is not limited to, reviewing police reports, surveying sites, locating and interviewing essential witnesses, finding at-fault parties, gathering and analyzing the information from Event Data Recorders in vehicles, and researching property and company ownership.
Karla hails from the Los Angeles area but moved to San Diego in 2000. After spending four years with the Los Angeles Police Department, she transferred to the Oceanside Police Department, where she spent another 19 years serving the citizens of Oceanside. Some of Karla’s assignments included patrol, field training officer, and the neighborhood policing team, where she served a sector of the city as the liaison officer to the residents and business owners. She spent the last eight years of her career working as a detective, investigating property crimes.
In July of 2023, Karla was hired to serve as part of the Investigations Division of Gomez Trial Attorneys.
Karla has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, with the emphasis on Public Relations, and a minor in Sociology. She also holds a California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Certificate. In her free time, Karla enjoys watching her son play water polo for Rancho Bernardo High School, watching her boyfriend coach football for San Marcos High School, and spending time with friends, family and her dog Jasper.
