Jamie Ritterbeck

Jamie Ritterbeck is a trial lawyer at Gomez Trial Attorneys and specializes in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases with an emphasis on trucking cases. Jamie has handled many multimillion-dollar trucking cases and specializes in trucking and motor carrier liability matters. She has developed specialized knowledge of the trucking industry and is not afraid to take on the largest of companies or most difficult cases. Jamie goes above and beyond for her clients and brings her attention to detail, competitive spirit, and compassion to each case.
Jamie is a military spouse and public service is important to her and her family. She is also passionate about pro bono service and has made a significant difference in the lives of others through her pro bono work on immigration matters. Perhaps most significantly, she represented a boy from Guatemala who fled his country due to years of unspeakable violence. She was able to help her client obtain political asylum, a life changing result that is not easily granted.

Jamie earned her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Florida State University. While in law school, Jamie interned at the University of San Diego School of Law’s Appellate Clinic, where she successfully represented her client before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Board of Immigration Appeals, resulting in her client’s release from federal custody. As a result of her superior work and 100 plus hours of pro bono legal services, Jamie was honored as the Outstanding Clinic Intern and bestowed with the University of San Diego School of Law Certificate of Merit. She also received the CALI Award for excellence in Contracts and Legal Writing. Jamie served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Nita L. Stormes of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, as well as a Judicial Extern for the San Diego Superior Court criminal judges.
