Yesterday, Thursday July 11, 2013. 22 children who attend Audubon Elementary School in San Diego became ill after lunchtime. According to reports from a fire spokesman, some children had upset stomachs, others were vomiting. 18 of the 22 children had to be taken to the hospital and treated. The children affected ranged from kindergarteners to seventh graders.
School Officials and County Health officials are investigating what caused the children to become ill. The assumption is that it was something they ate or drank. A preliminary inspection of the kitchen showed that the refrigerators were in working condition and the beverages were not expired.
