According to the newspaper, a 57-year-old man was driving his motorcycle in a northbound direction on Santa Fe Street in the Bay Ho part of town on Saturday at approximately 1 p.m. At that point, the 31-year-old female driver of a Mercedes-Benz allegedly pulled out onto Santa Fe Street from the driveway of a business and into the path of the oncoming motorcycle. The motorcyclist attempted to avoid the vehicle by veering into the southbound lane, but in so doing he moved directly into the path of a truck that was moving in the opposite direction. The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.
