A new product containing pomegranate kernels has been linked to the Hepatitis A outbreak. It has been reported that these pomegranate kernels are the same ones that were imported from Turkey and used in the Townsend Farms Organic Antioxidant Blend of Frozen Berries sold at Costco stores nationwide.
Woodstock Frozen Organic Pomegranate Kernels is the second product sold in San Diego that is connected to the outbreak. According to Woodstock representatives, there have not been any illnesses reported; however consumers are urged to dispose of this product, especially ones with the following codes.
C 0129 (A, B, or C) with a use by date of Feb. 2 2915
C 0388 (A, B, or C) 087 with a use by date of March 28, 2015
C 0490 (A, B, or C) 109 with a use by date of April 19, 2015
